Education

Graduate education at SoIF integrates financial economics, quantitative methods, institutional analysis and professional judgement. Master's and doctoral programmes combine rigorous coursework, thematic seminars, research training and engagement with current financial issues in institutional and market settings.

Graduate Training

Master's and doctoral programmes

The curriculum connects China's economic and financial realities with international markets, rules and institutions. It integrates economics and finance with quantitative methods, data science and artificial intelligence, law, international relations, and language and culture. Students are trained to formulate questions precisely, evaluate evidence and its limits, develop solutions and communicate conclusions with clarity.

03Technology Finance and Global Value-Chain Investment and Financing

Exploring how technological innovation and global value-chain restructuring shape cross-border corporate financing, long-term capital formation and the valuation of technology-intensive projects.

04International Development Finance and High-Quality Belt and Road Cooperation

05International Financial Institutions and Global Financial Governance

Studying the mandates and operations of international financial institutions, the formation of rules, mechanisms for policy coordination and China's participation in global financial governance.

Educational Approach

International finance is examined in relation to China's financial reform and opening-up and to the continuing evolution of the global financial system.

The curriculum begins with substantive questions. Coursework provides analytical methods; interdisciplinary discussion refines judgement; and case analysis, research and practice test conclusions against real institutional settings.

Academic integrity, public responsibility and cross-cultural communication are core requirements of graduate education at SoIF.
